IWhen I saw the Russian invasion of Ukraine I was compelled to act. I collaborated with a local soda business that began a fundraising effort for Ukraine. For weeks, I set up soda stands and went door to door collecting orders. Ultimately, I raised nearly two thousand dollars for the Ukrainian Red Cross relief effort. Many would say that this effort was a drop in the bucket but I firmly believe that it is imperative for each of us to fight for justice however we can, wherever we can.
